The Kerala Police Department, through its Social Policing Directorate in Thiruvananthapuram, is committed to community-oriented policing initiatives. Applications are invited for the following positions on a contract appointment, with an initial term up to March 31, 2026. Subsequent extensions will depend on suitability reports, government orders, and financial allocations.

01 D-DAD Project-Clinical Psychologist (Ernakulam City & Kannur City) 2 (each in Ernakulam City & Kannur City) Graduate Post Diploma in Rehabilitation/Clinical Psychology OR Psychology with RCI Registration (essential). Candidates with M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from an Institution or University recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India with RCI Registration will be given preference. Essential: Minimum 3 Years working experience in Internet/Digital De-addiction sector/activities/projects. Desirable: Minimum 1 Year working Experience in Social Welfare Projects with Proficiency in Computer Applications. Should not exceed 40 Years
02 D-DAD Project Co-ordinator (Kollam City, Ernakulam City & Thrissur City) 03 (each in Kollam City, Ernakulam City & Thrissur City) MSW or Post Graduate in Psychology Desirable: Minimum 1 Year working Experience in Social Welfare Projects with Proficiency in Computer Applications. (Note: The table structure indicates "Desirable" experience for Coordinator, while Psychologist has an "Essential" experience line that spans across rows) Should not exceed 40 Years

Please note: Only post-qualification work experience from reputed/established organizations until 31/03/2025 will be considered.

Preferences and Additional Requirements:

  • For Clinical Psychologists: Experience in Digital De-Addiction sector including content development, conducting seminars/workshops, leading classes, and story making for awareness campaigns.
  • For Project Co-ordinators: Experience in conducting/coordinating online/offline meetings, public relations, documentation of capacity building, and preparing activity reports.
  • All candidates should be healthy, willing to travel extensively, and ready to work late hours.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in both English and Malayalam are essential.

When submitting your application, attach scanned copies of your passport size photograph (taken within six months), the filled prescribed application form, and self-attested certificates proving Age, Educational Qualifications, and Experience.

Selection Process

The selection process is rigorous and designed to identify suitable candidates:

  1. Screening & Selection Committee: All applications and resumes will be screened.
  2. Written Test and Interview: Suitable candidates will be called for a Written Test and Interview to examine their credentials and suitability for the job.
  3. Rank List: A rank list will be prepared and published based on performance and marks obtained in the written test and interview.
  4. Detailed Scrutiny: Detailed scrutiny of applications, qualifications, and credentials will be conducted before the written test/interview/appointment. Any discrepancy will lead to immediate rejection.
  5. Police Verification: Appointment is subject to a Police Verification report on character & antecedents.

The appointment will be purely on a merit basis from the Rank List. The Date of Written Test & Interview will be communicated to eligible candidates via their registered email/mobile number after primary screening.

Remuneration (Consolidated Contract Pay):

  • Psychologists: Rs. 36,000/- per month (including TA&DA)
  • Project Coordinator: Rs. 20,000/- per month (including TA&DA)

Other Terms & Conditions:

  • Original relevant documents must be produced at the time of written test and interview for verification.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test and interview.
  • Appointment will be in a centralized system and based on home district/nearest district. Candidates can mention two district options.
  • Selected staff will receive yearly extensions based on performance, suitability reports, police verification, and availability of State Plan Funds and Government approval.
  • Any decision by the State Police Chief/Director, Social Policing Directorate regarding the recruitment process will be final.
